Unison Selection - our flagship wine, a sophisticated blend of Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, full of personality.

Consistently 5 stars, Gold medal winner, “NZ Classic Wine”, Top 10 Cuisine Magazine.

Unison Selection is definitively regarded as one of NZ top labels and internationally this brand is recognized as a truly world-class wine.

Unison Selection is created as a Selection of the best our vineyard has to offer. At blending each barrel is tasted and only the best are selected for inclusion into this wine. A lot of time is spent mixing different proportions to ensure that each year we produce a wine worthy of it's international status. After 12 months maturation in small oak barriques, the wine is then transfered to a large Italian cask for a further 12 months. This enables the wine gain further barrel maturation and harmonisation without over dominating with oak. The wine is regularly tasted and only bottled when the time is right.

Unison Selection 2004

Unison Selection 2004 reflects and even surpasses the weight and concentration found in our stunning Unison 2004 and again shows the opulence of the 2004 vintage. As usual our Selection is a blend of super premium Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, hand-crafted with extreme attention to detail. The deep red tones unveil the seriousness of this wine.

The aroma is packed with dark berry notes supported by nuances of chocolate and toasty oak, which follow through to a superbly balanced palate with a smooth and persistent finish. This is a wine to enjoy while still in it's youth, but which will also reward careful cellaring up to 15 years.
